On Dec. 29, the sheriff’s office posted photos on its Facebook page of dozens of inmates being baptized. […]

Durant, who left office on Jan. 1 following a four-year term as sheriff, emphasized both faith-based and non-faith-based rehabilitation programs for inmates during his tenure, according to local Greensburg Daily News. …

Atheism is every bit a religion as Christianity is.

The sheriff isn’t being preferential, thus there’s no legal issue here. These “atheists” are probably new converts trying to justify their own choice.

I was a county jail chaplain for 4 years. We only handed out religious materials and evangelized to those who wanted it. But the nature of jail life is such that many would come to Bible study just to get out of their jail cells for an hour, who knows how many were converted inadvertently by attending the class?

We never forced Christianity on anybody!

Nailed it! In his book,Utopian Road To Hell, William J. Murray gives insight into what drives dictators of socialistic nations. He gives good reason as to what motivates them to seek godless societies. He also states that he believes not one of them was an atheist. Rather, their hibris elicits a notion that they can beat God and they will takes his place. William Murray plainly states that his mother(Madeline Murray Ohare) would "speak" to God about how much she hated Him.

BTW, there is no "atheism". Even Richard Dawkins says he knows his only 'scientific' approach yields agnosticism.

"Atheism" is anti-theism, it is the rejection of God Almighty, these are marxists who have set themselves against Christians in a war for souls and salvation. marxists know they cannot control Christians.

Here, here! Or hear, hear if you know why and who. Always wondered why those who don’t want to be preached to have NO problem preaching to others.
