My grandfather was an avid hunter and he taught my mother basic gun safety rules such as 1) the gun is always loaded and 2) never point a gun at something or someone you don’t intend to shoot. If a small child can understand that a gun is not a toy but a weapon to be handled with care then a grown man can and should be held responsible for his criminal negligence.
It’s not the charge I would have wanted, but if the judge is an honest man he’ll draw the maximum sentence. As will that idiot armorer.
