This story reads like a Dickens novel.

I found out not long ago that Fogerty was from California. Always thought he was born on the Bayou

This one sure came out of Centerfield. And the guitar solo sounds like La Bamba.

He’s your typical limo lib. As to his gaining control of his music I have no problem with that.

Sony Music acquired the rights to Bob Dylan’s master recordings in a deal estimated to be worth $200 or more.

When John Fogerty replaced his brother Tom as the front man for the band, he demanded to be the one who negotiated the recording deal. The deal he accepted was horrible, and it resulted, eventually, in the break up of the band. Tom was very angry with his brother, and they feuded. As I understand it, Tom died without reconciling with John.

Well he didn’t dodge the draft and did his 2 years. He also donates a lot of time and money to veterans.
I wouldn’t lump him in with that crowd.

Actually this is reverse of the trend. Most artists are selling catalogs. He bought his. For many, CCR was the 8-track of life. My Craig player ate a few.

I guess he can finally afford to get out of Lodi now.
