I am actually for this at the ML level.
There shouldn’t be such a think as a “Yankee’s Strike versus a “Twin’s” strike.
Umpires should not be able to squeeze a strike zone because they are grumpy, or upset at one team, or want to move the game along and all of those things happen.
The home plate umpire in the World Series should not EVER, EVER, EVER have grown up a fan of one of the teams in the Series as happened 2011
Robot strike calls prevent all of that.
Oh, and AL umpire Angel Hernandez should be launched into the sun.
I’m not opposed either, but someone is going to have to explain the details to me. The strike zone should change by different players and batting stances. A tall guy crouching down in his stance might have the same zone as a short guy standing up in his stance, but if both use the same stance the tall guy should have the bigger zone.
