Self-defense? The customer fired 9-shots and killed the man robbing patrons in Houston restaurant who had a fake gun.
After the robber fell to the ground, the customer continued to fire as he moved closer to the man and snatched his gun. The customer then fired one final shot in the robber's general direction, and the man passed away at the scene, as seen on camera.
After the robber was down, the shooter realized the gun he was brandishing was fake and angrily tossed it against a wall.
Now people are asking, why did the taqueria customer have to shoot the robber who had a fake gun, so many times?
Death to armed robbers.

I believe that if you rob people with your finger in your pocket, it counts as armed robbery. Because the victims don’t know.
And my definition of self-defense is extremely wide. Put the threat down. Way down.
Don’t bring a toy to a gun fight.
Because thats all the ammo he carried.
How is what he did any different from a cop doing a mag dump on somebody who has pointed a weapon at them?
The last shot may have been a result of still seeing body movement when the hand was still close to the weapon.

Use more bullets to kill him DEAD!
This is called neutralizing the threat.
He shot him 9 times because that was all the bullets the gun would hold. When someone is trying to kill you you must do all you can to eliminate the threat, as long as the perp had a gun in his hand he was a threat, the shooter had no way of knowing the gun was only a BB gun. The shooter did society a favor. The robber had already killed once before, he won’t do it again.
When a man enters a restaurant threatening to shoot anybody who doesn’t hand everything over, he gets NO assumption of good will, and EVERY assumption of violent intent.
That means:
Likelihood of a hidden accomplice
Real possibility of a second weapon
Assumption that he will spend his last breath trying to pull you down by the ankle or grab your weapon.
The defender (he is not “the shooter”, as his primary purpose is to stop the threat. The fact that he used his best means to do so is an accidental property of same.) did not ask to be put into a situation where the adrenaline flows, survival instinct kicks in, and the brain functions differently with only seconds to act. This is not a trained soldier or policeman, just an upright civilian placed in harm’s way who did what he had to in order to remove the threat.
I would be glad to charge the armed robber with felony murder . . . his own.
Don't threaten people with a weapon or a fake firearm unless you are ready to deal with what can happen next.
Think the guy went a little over the top but if he was ex military they taught us when in doubt, keep shooting. Under stress that repetitive training kicks in.
Baldy had already picked up the perp's "weapon" when he fired the last shot.

And empty the magazine with your free hand.
My issue with the shooter is that he should have reloaded. No guarantee that the perp didn’t have help outside.
Yes, he did society a big favor and now he’s going before a grand jury to find out if they agree with you or not.
Oh good God.
I do wonder if this man will be charged. They could use the “he was leaving” and “in the back” reasoning.
BUT, he still wasn’t out of the store. It’s possible the thug could’ve turned around or continued his circuit to get more money and maybe hurt someone.
Pity the poor thief.

You need to watch the video. The black guy is a 2nd amendment advocate.
