There’s no one size fits all. Some people are very happy in mixed neighborhoods, some like to be with their own kind. Government efforts to force integration all failed, but they are still at it.
But we are sure taking a lot of steps backward with separate colleges, separate dorms, separate graduations, etc. That creates hatred of “the other.”

Look, the FBI racist corporate-government fascists made an experiment in barbaric racism, which is to summarize someone behind a color and maybe one sort of flavor, not looking at the wealth of compounds, variations and ancestral flavors that person might be composed of. On a daily basis, I see people of all colors, shapes and sizes. I work with them. Many of them are my friends. A few are what I'd call "family." What Fred seems to have missed, is that most people (excepts racists and leftists...pardon the redundancy) pick their friends on the basis of their heart. If Bob or Mary happens to be black, yellow, or plaid, so be it.
You want to see REAL trouble getting people to commingle? Go to Western Europe.

Science and data are not on your side. There is no racial harmony in America. Blacks commit an outrageous amount of crime, financially take far more out of the system than they produce and have an absolutely failed culture/family system. This is true virtually anywhere they exist in the world. Yes, there are some individual outliers, but not many. Get out of your delusion.
What unity means depends on one’s experience, perspective, and circumstances. And if one were to pick a hundred Americans at random and suddenly put them together in a foreign country, they be unified and with little liking of where they are because it is not America.

It’s not just black and white, anymore. There are Middle Easterners, Afghans, Chinese, Korean, Filipinos, Vietnamese, Indians, who have been living successful lives and businesses for decades who now need to open up their employment and neighborhoods to blacks as well, and not just as customers but giving them employment. Whites are going to be the minority by 2030, by birthrate or repatriating elsewhere.
