The liberal media like to depict Never Trumpers like Charlie Sykes as the voice of center-right reason and moderation. But in recent days, the founder of The Bulwark and MSNBC columnist has revealed a spiteful, vulgar streak.
Last week, we caught him literally laughing as he reveled in Kevin McCarthy's sticky predicament in seeking the speakership, and pronouncing with malicious glee the names of George Santos and Marjorie Taylor Greene, as people McCarthy had to rely on. But that was tame compared to his spit take on Jonathan Capehart's Sunday Show.
Now that McCarthy has secured the Speaker's gavel, Sykes took Sunday's Democrat talking point about how the House Republicans will be incapable of governing and headed straight for the crotch:

In a weird kind of way, it’s a relaxed feeling not being compelled to defend mctraitor.
It’s past time that one of “ours” got gelded by Patriots instead of Communists. And McCarthy got gelded with a dull, rusty pen knife.

The question is, if McCarthy is self-gelded, who inherits the power? Answer: Individual House members, particularly members of the Freedom Caucus. If it means less legislation, that’s OK.
I thought gelding was looked upon as a positive act by progressives. Self gelding could only the be looked upon as a fully transactional act by a totally realized individual who only has the future of gaia as a non binary non specific non gender goal before dissolution into the cosmos.
Well Charlie, with McCarthy being naturally alike to Democrats if left to his own devices, he had no balls to begin with. Kinda explains how the holdouts were able to influence just how McCarthy’s tenure is going to play out. Too bad for you the RINO won’t be able to carry the Dems’ water for them.
