It appears that there is some confusion here.

If he had any character, he’d step aside after being repudiated 3 times.

On the Dem side Pelosi would accept her unity victory and attend the funerals of the ones who had been dissidents against her while they were alive.

They started out with 19 and ended up with 20 voting for Jordan in the last round.

Hopefully they’ll go into conference before the restart at noon and get meaningful work done.

It wouldn’t bother me a bit if anyone at all other than McCarthy had the Speakership. The senate is nearly all UniParty so no conservative legislation would ever make it anyhow.

The only thing would be committees and unless good deals can be made tomorrow, nothing good would come out of them either.

Proving he is not the right leader/man for this position.

A leader wanting to serve his fellow man would have stepped down after failing the first time and surely the second. But 3 votes he has failed and still hasn’t stepped down.

In case any of you think this vote is for altruistic reasons for the preservation of the Republic, I give you this from Mark Levin:

"In their last meeting with McCarthy, three Freedom Caucus members with whom I spoke said it was pretty ugly - certain members were trying to use their votes to blackmail McCarthy for committee or subcommittee chairmanships. Some wanted veto power over other members of committees, some wanted to control certain policy areas involving, for example, which legal cases the GOP majority should be involved in, and the list goes on. One of the original five, Good of Virginia, took $2 million from McCarthy's fund to get re-elected. Others among the 19 took huge sums as well."

These grifters are in it for themselves and you're all cheering them on.

Good.

It’s time the real conservatives stood for something.

No more RINOs, snowflakes , or spineless weasels.

The Dems are going to sit on their hands and laugh at the Republicans until they nominate someone scary to them…

…then they’ll all pile on to support McCarthy.

The GOPe has chosen McCarthy. I am sure they will get a couple friends on the left to vote for him. The Dems need the Republicants to have the House so they have someone to blame for the next 2 years

Take a hike Mccarthy, your a rino and that’s why you were rejected.

Seems the rinos here on fr are more upset about a stonewall being placed before Mccarthy then they were at the 1.7 trillion dollar betrayal by mctraitor and company.

I fully support the holdouts. It’s about time the opportunity is not being squandered and being used to support American interests rather then betray the true American interests.

My post from another thread:

“ What would Rush say... “?

First, Rush would say to not let the left set the narrative. The narrative right now is that this is proof that Republicans can't lead.

Rush might follow that with a recounting of all the times that Republican leaders made promises to their base and then stabbed them in the back once elected. He might then say "Let's give these new guys and gals the chance to figure things out for themselves instead of letting the swamp establishment roll over them."

Finally, he might say "I don't care if it takes five or 10 rounds or more to get it right, just don't let the drive-by media pressure you into thinking you have to get it done in one day. This is too important to begin the new Republican majority by immediately caving to liberal pressure before you're even sworn into office."
