I went to my surgeon yesterday for consultation about a second hip replacement. (I tell everyone my left leg is jealous and wants a shiny titanium hip like the right leg has.)

The doctor had told me a couple months back from my description that it sounded like I needed a hip replacement. But the exam indicated my biggest problem is bursitis. He gave me a cortisone shot in the joint (ouch!) and shortly after that I was 99% pain free.

I may need some shots in the hip joint itself for arthritis later on. That requires an xray guided injection.

Yes.
These shots work. I do not believe the article!
Moreover they work for a long time. I am getting them for about 15 years!
Even 15 years ago they were talking about knee replacement.
