Oh my! What an adorable little Blessing! As to ME, I would pick him up, hug him, sing “Jesus Loves Me” or ‘Amazing Grace” to him, just as my hubby did on the occasions of first getting to hold his newest and latest grandchild. To this day, every grandchild can sing those two songs without missing a word (both boys and girls). Those are his “rocking to sleep” songs he sings to them. The middle grand-daughter calls Amazing Grace the “God song”, and she requests that song each time he rocks her in the rocking chair that has been handed down for 3 (maybe 4) generations.
The boys are too big now for the “Grandpa” rocking and the grand-daughters are growing so fast they too are almost too big for the “spend the night at the grandparents” rocking ritual, but we will keep it up as long as we can.
Grandma reads a few books as Grandpa rocks the grandchildren. Even the older grandsons join in the reading time before returning to the boy’s room to go to sleep. There is absolutely nothing that compares to having a sweet, happy, and innocent child or grandchild to read to, sing with, pray with and tuck into bed with a kiss, a hug, and the words “ I love you. Have a good night’s sleep! Tomorrow will be a great day”.

The immediate love for your child is something the left cannot understand. They see children as a burden, an inconvenience, and something that stifles them and their plans for future.
I not only had children of my own, but also “coached” both my niece, and my daughter-in-law, through the birthing process once they went into labor. Each delivered a beautiful child of God. No one will ever convince me that an unborn child is a “clump of cells” up until some “official” decides it is a child and a human being that is worthy of “human rights”.
Abortion is cold-blooded murder. You are killing a child, deliberately, and most of the time for convenience. I’ve asked abortion proponents who scream the often-used argument that “incest, “rape” or “health of the mother” should allow abortion. When I say “fine, let’s agree those are the only criteria for which abortion can be used”, they run away. Then they start screaming “women’s rights”. If you bring up the compromise of “safe”, legal, and rare, and only if there is an health issue, they move the goal-posts.
How can you do so a thing to another human being? How can abortionists see the ultrasound of the fully-formed child in the womb, and them deliberately pull that child’s limbs off, suck it out of its safe space in the place GOD put it, and suck it out into a trash bag to be disposed of as medical waste? Such a person has to be a special type of evil!
True but selfishness is the doorway.
I AGREE WITH YOU, BUT FOR SOME CAVEATS. THERE ARE SOME GENETIC ABNORMALITIES, DOWNS SYNDROME, AND TAY-SACHS, FOR INSTANCE, WHERE I DO NOT FEEL IT IS MY PLACE TO TELL, OR EVEN JUST ADVISE, OTHERS ABOUT TAKING ON SUCH AN ENORMOUS EMOTIONAL BURDEN, ESPECIALLY TAY-SACHS, WHERE A CHILD MAY LIVE WELL INTO THEIR TEENS BEFORE INEVITABLE DYING OF THIS HORRIBLE DISEASE. I WOULD NOT WISH SUCH GRIEF UPON ANYONE, NOR WOULD I VENTURE TO ADVISE YEA, OR NAY, TO ABORTION UNDER THOSE CIRCUMSTANCES...AS I SAID, IT IS NOT MY PLACE.
BUT, SUCH CIRCUMSTANCES ARE, THANKFULLY, QUITE RARE. IT IS STILL NOT MY PLACE TO TELL OTHERS WHAT TO DO, BUT PERSONALLY, I NEITHER CONDONE, NOR UNDERSTAND ABORTION AS A METHOD OF BIRTH CONTROL, OR PERSONAL CONVENIENCE. I HAVE KNOWN SOME WOMEN WHO HAVE HAD ABORTIONS, AND SUFFERED EMOTIONALLY FROM HAVING DONE SO. I HAVE KNOWN OTHERS THAT DIDN’T GIVE A RAT’S RUMP...ALSO, ABOUT ANYONE BUT THEMSELVES.
IN MY LIFE, I HAVE NEVER HAD TO DEAL WITH THAT MATTER...THANK G-D!

Every child is wonderful. I worked at a foundation that helped children with Down’s syndrome and learned very quickly what sweet, loving kids they are. I contribute to Special Olympics every year. to help fund their races and sources of pride. One little boy asked me one day about physical therapy I do, “Can you help someone like me?” Absolutely.

It really is that simple.
Life is always more interesting when you have dogs and cats trying to lay down on you.
I first saw my youngest grandson in a ultra sound when he was about twenty weeks. There could be no question what I was seeing was a human being. I saw him smile, have purposeful movements and gazed at his angelic face. My daughter was not married at the time and was living with the child’s father. She could easily and without question had an abortion. Fortunately she chose life for her child and now I have a three and a half year old grandson who still has that angelic face I saw when he was in the womb.
My father was an old time family doctor who used to deliver babies in the patients home. Dad had many stories of going out in blizzards to deliver babies and was sometimes snow bound in a remote farm for days following the birth. The very idea of abortion was unthinkable for my father. In his later years after retiring from medical practice, Dad often said that God would surely punish this country for allowing abortion. I believe Dad was right and the troubles were are seeing now are God’s punishment.
