The ten minute video is well worth watching and a time capsule of what the mid 1970s was like. An era I remember well as a teenager.

Rotary dial pay phones. Primitive graphics on the newscasts. All those super wide collars on shirts (for women too). Nurses back then all wore dresses and they were all female. As well, those telephone switchboard operators were all female and all their equipment was analog.

Interesting that during the hospital shots, they showed actual patients, some of who appeared to be near death. That would never happen today with HIPAA and all.

Probably the best dramatization of 70’s news coverage was in George Romero’s 1978’s , “Dawn of the Dead”.
