Why more people cannot see this (especially here on FR) is dumbfounding to me. Yes, his appointments within government fundamentally transformed the country, but who suggested those appointments? It is not like a short-term Senator who was previously a community activist came to DC with a deep knowledge of swamp creatures.
The longer I live the more convinced I am that the “President” is less important than those behind the scenes. That is where the real work is done and you can make a fair argument that during the Obama administration the “hidden hand” completed their takeover of the government.
