It’s changed over to rain here and the winds are really starting to pick up.
Our power co. sent out a notification that they expected power outages, which is hardly a surprise with the number of trees we have here in NH.
We still need to cut up and clear the ones that came down last week.
If we lose power, we lose internet as well.

Almost two days before the Day After Tomorrow?
“Bomb cyclone” ... sounds so much more ominous than “snowstorm” ... great for a headline.
Santa Baby, can I have a bomb cyclone?
Weather reports says light rain until noon, followed by clearing. Am I missing something?

Is this the storm Joe Bastari is referring to as Sideshow Bob...?
“bomb cyclone” storm really , they have to stop this ridiculous naming , it’s a winter storm , LOL
The storm has been a loser so far in Michigan where we are on vacation.
Our house in maryland is on a hill so I’m not worried much about flooding. I am concerned about a dead tree at my neighbors house that if it drops will take out my wife’s car.
10:50 am here in Portland Maine 51 degrees with heavy rain. Power went out intown at about 6 am. My brother’s suburban neighborhood still has power which is opposite of what usually happens.
Projected to drop to 14 degrees overnight, but the rain will have stopped so no snow.
“bomb cyclone”
That memo went to every news outlet in the country everyone repeats it over and over and over...........................
Ping to some photos of the frozen tundra in WNY.
“bomb cyclone” is not a meteorological term. I need to do a search to see if it is even used in peer reviewed papers.
It’s a phrase used to scare people and push a narrative.
I’d trade the flooding for this cold right now. Our guest house’s pipes are froze and we have all the family home…
