No way could that small door have supported bothe of them.

However, the Jack character would have easily survived if he had floated on Kate Winslet. She’s a substantial young lady.

Women think how great a romance movie Titanic is.

Men regard it as a horror movie.

The difference between the sexes.

If the life preserver was pushed underneath the door and held in place using the straps the the door could have supported both of them.

I think they showed this on MythBusters.

Several people who have watched the 1997 film have argued that if Rose had moved over, both she and Jack would have survived.

Several people who don’t understand the meaning of “drama”.

“We took two stunt people who were the same body mass of Kate and Leo and we put sensors all over them and inside them and we put them in ice water,” Cameron, 68, told The Toronto Sun.

He put sensors inside them? That must have been interesting.

There you have it. The science is settled.

First: It’s a climactic event not one pertaining to climate.

Second: It’s an effing movie. People do odd things in movies.

Kate at her biggest was heavier than Leo, so maybe Rose should have let Jack have the raft.

On the other hand, maybe Rose knew what a jerk Leo would turn out to be, so maybe it was better that she let Jack die.

And wasn’t the idea more that they should have take turns on the door or raft? Would that have worked? Or maybe they should have found a half-empty lifeboat maybe and used their star appeal to get let on board?

We shouldn’t overthink this. The director wanted Jack to give up his life to save Rose. Science had nothing to do with it.

ummm, the whole point of the movie is the celebration of perfect love. Had he lived - and both of them are on the ship looking for the Titanic...talking: Well, she says, “he was so hansom and charming. I never would have guessed he’s spend 50 years forgetting to put the toilet seat down. And Jack responds with, “And you with all that beauty and a headache most nights...” The movie needs to end the way it did...
