Prayers up!
Prayers up for you both!
He and you have my prayers.
My 1st Dobie- Fat’s Domino aka Fat Dog had incredible aim with small objects. At the Bank one day while getting the Change Fund Fats is in the back seat with the window down and He’s chomping on a round bone from a slice of Country Ham. Now the Bank run is a 6 day a week thing that includes a Biscuit Treat from the Teller. The routine is We pull up to the Teller Drawer send the Bank Bag in, theTeller talks to Fats and puts a Treat in the drawer and sends it out while filling the Change Fund. That day We had a Rookie Teller...
Fats has been chomping on his bone and he stops chomping on the bone, I look in the mirror and he’s sitting there with the bone hooked on a tooth. I’m thinking this isn’t going well. At that second He snapped his head to the left and flung that bone into the glass at head level on the rookie teller!!!
All the Bank regulars busted out laughing!!! They then informed the rookie of the “Fat’s Procedure” Bag in drawer, ask Fat’s how He is and would He like a Treat, then send it out.
Of course the Bone went under the car so We had to pull forward so I could get out and retrieve it before we left.
So load up Da’ Pup and go to all the banks/pharmacy and any other drive through windows and make a day of it.
Tell them the story of what’s going on and see what happens.
Prayers done for You and Hrafi.
If He’s not hurting then go play with Him !!!
Love Y’All

❤️🙏. Prayers for the both of you. I remember a tripod Dobie from the ‘70s. She was amazingly fast on one hind leg.
Not quite 5 years ago hubby fell and snapped his femur and then had two “ small” heart attacks.
Then something went wrong with my Yukon so I had to drive a motorcycle to the nursing home every day where he stayed for a month getting rehab.
I also had to get groceries on the bike and God forbid anything happening to my dogs.
So my mom paid $500 for the PT and here I am.
It’s been 17 months since the jerk took my dodge for the “ two day tranny swap” and I can’t afford a lawyer to get it back or force him to finish it.
It’s all I have, sad to say.
I’m trying to sell my Harley since I’ve nothing left of value to sell now just to pay off the vet bills and maybe get myself some other cheap but hopefully better car.
We haven’t had any trike orders in a long time, everything costs way more than it used to and I’m in the middle of a perfect storm of suck.
I feel cursed.
And now we’ll be taking him to the vet in the rain tomorrow and the PT does NOT like rain at all.
I’m terrified by the thought of the “normal “ psychotic Gaithersburg traffic ‘and’ rain.
:(
I just talked to his vet and if it’s raining tomorrow like it is now they’ll reschedule his tests.
They want us safe and they’re aware of the car issues.
Well, prayers up for your travel tomorrow, too.
I wasn’t trying to rip on you for it, I was lamenting you having to have it. I remember what a pain it was for my mom. We lose some context in just text only so I didn’t want to give you the wrong impression.
Did not consider it ripping at all.
I say much worse about it.
PT Loser.
The only thing it has going for it is that I look like I’m fixing to run shine on some back road.
/like my granddaddy done
:D
I just didnt want it to come across the wrong way. With text only, stuff gets misunderstood a lot easier.
I know you well enough to know you always mean well.
You have been unfailingly kind to me for a very long time and I am so grateful for you.
It seems I will have to postpone his appointment to another day.
Tomorrow it’s going to rain hard all day and the PT Loser doesn’t like rain at all.
I have 4 steep mountains to get over, plus the insane city traffic compounded by holiday shoppers and the reflective lines on the highway just are not anymore.
Plus, it will be over 50 degrees so we’ll be coming back over the mountains in treacherous fog, which other drivers don’t seem to be able to manage safely.
The car has cheap “all weather” tires on it and it’s front wheel drive and it hydroplanes like crazy when it rains.
I talked to the hospital staff and the vet feels like it would be better to wait a bit and slip us in ASAP so we’re not in danger with the car.
She is aware of the car’s issues and is fine with this, as she absolutely wants no harm to come to us.
So, I am currently looking at Walmart’s website to see if I can get “winter tires” with an aggressive tread for cheap and also on payment plans, like Affirm and Klarna.
Can’t afford to pay for them outright but *might* be able to manage monthly payments.
I do not think we’re going to have the “mild, wet winter” they said we would and fear the upcoming sleet and ice very much.
The lightweight little Loser cannot even get up my 600 foot mountain, let alone the 1000+ mountains between here and there unless it’s dry as a bone.
I HAVE to do something to make us safer in this car.
:(
If anyone knows of really, REALLY affordable snow/ice/rain tires that would work, I’d be grateful.
This is not my forte’.
*Bless my mom’s heart, she asked if I couldn’t find “another way to Gaithersburg”.
Well, there’s RT 40 over the mountains and I70 over the mountains.
I reckon I could drive down I81 into Virginia a couple hundred miles and slip up in the back way.
Yeesh.
Monday is his rescheduled appointment.
Gonna be cold but dry and clear so no fog/hydroplane worries, at least.
We should even be done in time to get home before dark and the worst of the city traffic.
Prayers for our safety and his test results, please.
Prayers for Safe Passage and Results.
Did You get to Night Court yet ?
What year is the pt ?
What size tyres ?
Prayers for Hrafi and for you 🙏
I did and it was funny.
Apparently I get it free on ROKU and honestly, I kinda forgot about the show.
Never saw those episodes.
:)
2001 and 205/55R16.
I found Goodyear winter tires online at Walmart for ice/snow/hydroplaning but I’d have to try and get them with Affirm or whatever on payment plan.
They’re 80 clams a pop plus installation.
Not doable as it stands.
I owe more on his Care Credit than I have and every visit racks up blasted “not covered” consultation fees.
Bless his heart he’s still peppy, happy and eats like a harvest hand so that is great.
Thank so much!
I have come to accept that despite all I’m doing for him, God has the final say in this and I pray He’s going to work a miracle.
These are what I was looking at.
Great reviews and they cover all my “fear” bases.
