Back when my neck of the woods had steel mills, bars would open at around 6 AM to cater to the 11 PM - 7 AM shift guys. So you could walk into a bar at, say, 8 AM and find it very busy.
No mention of steel mills in this article, though. 🙂
Same thing for refinery guys in Marcus Hook PA.
I was working an electrical distribution job and walked by a bar…packed at 0730.
