Are you sure?
Is it real cheese, or REAL cheese?…

I believe you, it’s just shitty pizza.

Well, regardless of what anyone thinks of the pizza, this is one of my favorite pictures from my time at Domino's.

Crushed Red Pepper. Do Not Crush:

They’ve changed the recipe a couple of times, but it’s always been real cheese.

I'm lactose-intolerant, so I usually like to order Mod Pizza's dairy-free cheese on a pizza.

Dairy free cheese sounds like vegan meat.

Being lactose intolerant, I understand your position of course.

Oh, you poor soul. You are confusing rationality with virtue signaling. How last millennium.

This is another stunt. Probably someone in the board room has a relative who could supply “at cost” — plus his/its finder’s fee.

Big corps purposely implement “virtuous” policies just for good PR. Been doing that for decades — I got entangled that when I worked for AT&T over a decade ago. Pure BS.

When they burst into flames, it’ll keep the pizza nice and warm!

"...Here’s another lousy pizza I won’t be buying...."

.

Hot or cold - it's lousy pizza - I don't eat it.
But being a diabetic, I make my own crust - and therefore
the entire pizza - myself.

Great pizza - even cold the next morning - is better than most
'chain pizzas' - The 'Greasy Hut' included.

“Weird how quiet it was.”

My BFF is on her second hybrid (her husband won’t let her get a fully electric car, LOL!) and when it’s on electric you truly cannot hear that thing.

If we’re going any distance I say, “Let’s take my Ford truck. At least people will hear us coming and get out of the way!” ;)

When Trump gets re-elected gas will be < $2.00/gal and all of these EV fools will be angry.

I haven’t had a decent pizza in years, so I stopped looking for one. I wouldn’t eat fast food pizza on a bet.

I lived in Delaware for 14 years. There’s a small chain called Grotto’s.
It used to be one store in Rehoboth Beach.
Anyhow, it’s so greasy, it’s like pizza with a laxative added…

If your EV runs out of juice at least you can eat the customer's pizza...

The worst-case scenario is also the likely scenario - the EV will run out of juice on the return trip. (With some of the opinions expressed here about Dominos pizza, that might actually be the best-case scenario.)

Think of the impact higher electric bills will have on senior citizens on a limited budget. They can keep their car parked and not use it when monthly bills are too high.

Not so with the electric bill.

This is a very good niche fit for these vehicles.. all local, short run driving. plus, adding a warming holding area possibly running off the battery to keep the pizzas warm during transport could be done.

This, on paper, seems to be a very nice fit for this type of vehicle.

I had Dominoes back during college in the 1980s. It was bad.

Dominoes took a survey some years back, with people saying their pizza was bad. Dominoes vowed to fix their pizzas with better ingredients.

I was curious how the new Dominoes was. I used a coupon for a Dominoes pizza last year.

Still just as bad. A lot more expensive.

The green argument for EV’s is dubious at best.

However, as a fleet vehicle for short range routes, which is what these vehicles would be uses for, this fits in the EV suite spot. Does it keep the planet any cleaner? probably not, but it does fit the need well enough, and prevents another separate account/bill off the books, as the shop is already paying an electric bill... if they use electric for their fleet, then one less account/issue to deal with.

Electric vehicles are a niche market vehicle, commuter type vehicles, and for this application, delivering pizza, that fits right in their sweet spot.

Does it save the planet? No, but electric vehicles for fleet local vehicles, do have arguable pragmatic advantages.

“yep, this is a great use of electric cars.”

I agree with that but I thought pizza deliverers used their own cars. How does this help Domino’s financials?

Sorry but gotta disagree here.

Compared to what Domino’s used to be, it is far superior.

Is it great? No, but it’s nowhere near as bad as it used to be.

Would I put Domino’s at the top of my pizza list? Absolutely not... I am fortunate enough to live in a town with so many little mom and pop Pizza shops, that I can’t really imagine ever routinely settling for any of the big chains... all of them are substandard IMHO.

When I travel with the family and we are in other places, I realize just how spoiled I am. Many places only really have the chains.

If I have to settle for a chain, I tend toward Poppa Jons, but I gotta be honest, there quality seems to be all over the map... depending one the franchisee they can go from probably the best major chain pizza available, to almost swill. They really, really need to secretly and randomly inspect and enforce their standards... because Poppa John’s is the Pizza Chain equivalent of Burger King... Quality is literally all over the map depending on the franchisee.

A well run and managed one following the proper procedures, will deliver you a good product for a chain. However, many are run incredibly sub par, and corporate lets them get away with it, creating insane inconsistencies across their systems.

To this day, I don’t understand how Tom’s King, which is one of the largest francisees’ for BK is allowed to keep its license.... I don’t think I have ever been to one where I have gotten what I consider quality service or product, and I don’t walk into a BK with high expectations.

In fact, when I do get good quality and service, I know before I even look it up, that the store is not one of the Toms King franchises.

I know for a fact frachisees of Poppa Johns have watered down their sauces, and done other things to try to make more money.. and did it for years, and never every got smacked by the parent company for these types of things.

Domino’s, for good or ill, I have found to be very good at consistency across their enterprise... No, its not remotely great pizza, but whenever I do wind up having to eat dominoes, the product is consistent no matter where I am.
