Well your housemate proves the point that the 19th Amendment to the Constitution was probably the biggest mistake ever made in legislative US history.

Nope, we aren’t going anywhere.
BTW I don’t like any politician, not even Trump, but I’m voting for him 4 more times. Twice in the 2024 primary and twice in the general election.
I live in VBM Oregon so when my wife’s “hand pain” acts up I fill out her ballot. Then her “hand pain” gets better, she signs the envelope and off to the ballot drop box I go.
Its weird how my wife’s “hand pain” always happens at election time.

If you knew that no matter what, the Republican candidate would win in 2024 general election, making the primary the decision on who would become President, would you choose Trump. You know he would win, but any other would also, eg Jeb or Graham or Desantis etc…

Desanctimonius I’d no different in this regard. Trump wants to Make America Great Again and WILL fight to get that opportunity. You’ll live him again once he wins and starts saying how great DeSantis is again. It’s a competition.
I like Trump and will vote for him again. I smell political assination in the making by trying to blame Trump for everything Republicans HOPED he would deliver for them. The stench of RINOs - McConnell, The Establishment,etc. - is in the air. I also see The Establishment, which EVERY Republican who seeks office cannot offend because they hold the campaign purse strings (which is why I NEVER donate to the RNC) aligning promise of support to Republicans who will distance themselves from MAGA.. Trump is the only Republican who can defy The Establishment because of MAGA. No other Republican politician has or can have a MAGA.
DeSantis can end this attempt to divide Republicans by simply saying - as I have heard he has said before - that he will not run for President if Trump decides to run.
