Regardless of the distance from Giza to Taposiris Magna, this was a suggestion for the reason an aqueduct exists.

What I find interesting is that after so much time has elapsed, mankind has no certain idea why these things are were even constructed. Huge expenses in effort, energy, money and time spanning several generations and all we can do is look at them and wonder.

Picture on top is supposedly the aqueduct in Egypt and the picture on the bottom is the Tunnel of Eupalinos in Greece.

Dates to the Ptolemaic era, around 300 BC to 44 BC.

By Egyptian standards that’s practically modern :)

The great pyramid is nearly twice as old as this aqueduct.

Tye aqueduct dates to 2000 to 2300 years ago.

The great pyramid was built 4400 years ago

I find it curious that they used ceiling lighting in Greece, and up-lighting in Egypt.

What I find interesting is that there are people who still insist, based on nothing at all, that the Pyramids were constructed for no known reason. They were constructed as tombs, and were used as tombs. Period.

That’s the only view for which there is any evidence, period.

The Great Pyramid’s architect’s name is known, his burial was near the GP, his tomb has also been plundered.
