In western NevaDUH now and moving east. Wind at our place got to 27. Temp dropping since early this morning. Some precip. Might be some more. Hard freeze next couple nights. Maybe rain snow mix Tuesday into Wed.

to bring a general 6-12 inches of snow with local amounts to 30 inches in portions of the Wasatch in Utah, the Rockies in Colorado, the Tetons in Wyoming and the Sawtooth Range in Idaho. 69 degrees in my territory.

No need to worry. It is just a natural Heat Sink to absorb all the glo-Bull Warming in this part of the world.
I remember back in the early 1980s when “El Nino” first became a byword.
A storm like this hit the area of North Colorado, Nebraska and Kansas.
Our local weather chick stood out on an empty parking lot at night and said...”The question that is on everyone’s mind,(then looking straight at the camera with a look of terror on her face...) IS THIS EL NINO?”
I wanted to throw a boot at the TV screen.

The real fun will be in Tornado Alley, where the cold front meets the hot western front. They’re either going to be lots of tornadoes, or the contrast will be too great and they will get canceled out.
