Wait didn’t this happen a couple months ago? The details are very similar.
From the article above..
“ That incident came just a few weeks after another suspect on a motorcycle had his bike catch fire while trying to escape a police chase.
Dashcam video from the YouTube channel Arkansas State Police Videos showed trooper Dakota Davis in pursuit of another suspect on a motorcycle on a highway outside of Little Rock. Police corner the suspect on the right shoulder of the highway; the suspect runs into the concrete barrier on the side of the road, where he can be heard falling off his bike. The bike rolls in front of Davis’ cruiser while the suspect flees on foot. While police can be seen chasing the suspect on foot, the bike catches fire in front of Davis’ cruiser. Davis quickly returns and pulls the car away, while another officer extinguishes the fire.”
Tasers are not safe.
They are assumed safe and they are liberally used because of this.
Government and police are not trying very hard to look, so they see no problem, but tasers kill folks all the time. This is a case where folks don’t want to see, so rather not look!
I’d rather have police use old fashioned clubs, but that makes for bad images on cell phones and social media/MSM media.
The taser allows for a quick and clean incapacitation, i.e. no bruises, blood, not a lot of screaming... But... occasionally hearts stop, more often than folks realize you have heart rythem issues after being tased... Not everyone out there is perfectly healthy.
Good ole fashioned club.
***This is a classic form vs. function scenario.
But this is like so many other “advances” that really aren’t. The gas chamber, electric chair, guillotine, lethal injection... all were supposed to be improved ways to do things but in reality are plagued with problems and hanging is to this day the most reliable and efficient way to execute someone fast and painlessly.
Stop trying to play these games. Stick with what works.
There was spilled gasoline in the other case.
