In 2 years' time the Dims can change their minds and tell us that lithium is the new evil that's killing us all. Just like they've done with natural gas. (Remember when it was the "clean" alternative to coal?) Just like they've gone back and forth over nuclear. It's only a matter of time until they do the same with lithium. It's not about physical science it's about political science.
Instead of making our country better at whatever energy source the Dims approve of today, we should make the Dims irrelevant so we can have a consistent plan for energy implementation. Only then we can focus on the physical science.

It goes to the same place all that corn and wheat grown on U.S. land the chicoms have bought in recent years goes...
The output from hundreds of thousands of acres now owned by the chicoms?
Mainland china...

This is a lithium leach field.
Salty brine water is pumped up from deep wells.
Then, the water is progressively evaporated off, which leaves the lithium precipitate and several other minerals.

Estimates are that 70% of the Lithium Batteries coming from China are coming from Uighur Muslim Concentration Camps.
Slave Labor Batteries.

Meanwhile, over in Newry, Maine there is literally a mountain of lithium crystals.
But a few years ago, the enviro-whackos in Maine enacted a law that allows no mine over 3 acres in size in Maine.
