"The new method converts methane gas into liquid methanol"Wait! What?!?
Methane is a fuel!! What they are doing is converting one type of gaseous fuel into another type of liquid fuel.

1) Methane is a fuel.
2) its conversion into methanol produces less carbon dioxide (CO2) than other liquid fuels in the same category. So? Anthropogenic 'climate change' is a fraud. Quit lying.

“The conversion occurred at room temperature and pressure, which could allow methane, a potent greenhouse gas, to be utilized to make fuel.”
Isn’t methane fuel to start with? AKA natural gas?

Didn’t Los Alamos National Laboratories do this years ago? Or maybe it was Oak Ridge.

Big hairy deal. Lead can be turned into gold and peanut butter can be turned into diamonds.
The salient question is, how much does it cost?

I heat my home and water with methane (aka natural gas). I can generate electricity with it as well.
