He can expect a chilly reception in prison.

This charge seems to be an over-reach. Unless of course, the chili had beans it it. Flying beans are no joke.

The “throwee” must have been a reproductive rights “escort”.

Unless there's a lot more to this than chili in the face I'd vote not guilty.

Authorities are treating this like a five-alarm incident.

My Ghost Pepper chili violates several chemical weapons conventions ... I’m not allowed to export the stuff, or post the recipe on the internet. ITAR, you know ...

How hot was the chili? Is the victim permanently scarred?
Fellony? It depends on the seriousness of the injury. OK, now I will read the entire article. Maybe the answers to these questions is included in the article.

The chili had just been taken out of the microwave when it was thrown on the victim. Had the chili hit exposed skin serious injury was a real possibility.

If someone were to throw a bowl of steaming hot chili at you, you wouldn’t mind? Forget the chili, how about just a ceramic bowl. You’d be O.K. with that as well?

Really, does every post have to be deadly serious? Are we to become like leftists who see problems behind every joke? Well, maybe so.
