Rascal Flats did a cover version for some Disney movie.
I don't know if this is urban legend, but someone said to Ray Davies of The Kinks, that was a great version of "You Really Got Me", by Van Halen.
I remember. Nice 65 Impala convertible he drove around in, just like the one my uncle bought brand new 😀
I drove a 76 Chevy Caprice and that was a boat on the highyway.
Sometimes, recuts are bad; other times recuts become bigger successes than the original. Some examples:
Whitney Houston recutting Dolly Parton’s “I will always love you”.
Kenny Rogers recutting Lionel Richie’s “Lady”.
And of course, the recut Rascal Flats did of this song for the Disney Movie, “Cars”.
