They do make nice fur coats.
Back in about 1995 I was doing work in Salmon, Idaho right after they had transplanted 4 wolves into the area. The first in the state. One day driving to the site there was a dead wolf hanging on the fence by the side of the road with a sign that said “Ranchers 1, Wolves 0”
The wolf was gone driving back into town that night but the sign remained.
I guess Wolves won the war though - I just looked and see that Idaho now has over 1,500 wolves.
