The fan motor is thermally protected. There is a fuse that will blow if it gets too hot. There’s also a fuse in the power cord. Both are UL requirements.

Truly filter out covid you have to pump the air through a tank of compressed fluid through a filter that is 5 microns it’s incredibly slow and very energy intensive but what comes out the other side just air bubbles floating up through the liquid on the other side but it’s pure clean air that is completely free of any contaminants I don’t think anybody’s going to put that in their house
