Charlie and Martina Hite, two of the three people who died in the horrific Indiana house explosion Wednesday, were partners in marriage and in business with a connection to their community.
The couple, 43 and 37, both worked at the same Fresh Market store in Evansville Indiana and also had a regular flea market table, while Charlie was a volunteer for the high school football team.
Charlie's brother Steve - the equipment manager for that same Harrison High School team - was headed to Charlie's home to pick him up when he heard the blast about five minutes away, according to the Courier & Press.
Steve's brother would shoot video and hand out equipment in an unpaid role for the school.
Aaron Hite, Steve's son and Charlie's nephew, said the couple had no children, only pets.
He added that his aunt and uncle were loving and supportive and had helped him move into his first Evansville apartment.
A Gofundme has been set up to cover end-of-life expenses for the couple and anything else the family may need.
Jessica Teague, 29, was the third person killed in the explosion.

Maddie Struble posted the video to Facebook late Wednesday night, showing debris flying before it clears up to reveal the front porch of her home with an American flag still flying.
Roof slats were seen bent and broken on top of the porch, as smoke enveloped the area and a home across the street was destroyed.

Electronic gas detector alarms are cheap - I bought one for 25 bucks on Amazon.
They may have dismissed the problem as something to eventually fix.
Would be interesting to ask if they put in a new furnace in the past couple of months.

I never thought about a gas detector, just ordered one from amozon, thanks, you may have saved our lives.
CenterPoint Energy, the local gas utility, meanwhile, found no evidence of a natural gas explosion. It was last called to the home where the explosion originated in January 2018.
Anybody know if the IRS has been buying up C4 as well as ammunition? Maybe they had MAGA hats and flags on their table at the flea market.
Center Point Energy is in CYA mode. They are about to be rightfully taken to the cleaners.

If the leak is inside the house it is not the gas utility's fault. It could be at the furnace, water heater, any joint in the line or even just a rust point if it is iron pipe. The gas company's inpection stops at the meter.
Since my meter is in my garage they have to inspect it and check it for leaks once every three years. One time they found a leak and I had to pay for a plumber to repair a bad joint because it was on the house side of the meter.

Clearly...Trump-supporting white supremacists planning a deadly attack using WMD on a Federal building of some sort. The flea market table gives it away. An accidental crossed wire short-circuited their plans. Hopefully, the IRS can track down enough undeclared income from their flea market activities to audit the folks.

That's true, but it's normal for the Daily Fail on any news item that doesn't involve Ukraine. If Ukraine is mentioned, the headline and the text of the article is to be taken as absolute truth.

I refuse to have gas anything in our home. I lost a good friend because of a gas leak.
