I did. I like my pasta. A little too much. My blood sugar was over 600 at one time and my doc put me into the hospital. Well of course they put me in insulin until it came down but they also force-fed me carbs all day. I objected and knew what I needed (whole eggs, not that nasty egg substitute, and real butter, not fake stuff). Once out, I threw out every carb and bought real food, greens, olive oil and cooked every meal. My blood sugar returned back to normal and I told the doctor that I didn’t know how much insulin to take any more. He didn’t either. Took me off it and suggested pills instead.
Men who eat chocolate or meat consume more iron than they need.
The heart, liver, and pancreas store iron. Removing unnecessary iron from one’s body makes it easier to process sugar. See

If a person’s blood ferritin is less than 70 ng/ml, he has an iron deficiency.
I change my diet significantly after having been hospitalized for diverticulitis. Lost 20 pounds which I didn’t gain back
No more processed foods. I’ve become quite the heathy foods chef around the house. Feel much healthier…..
