Up Yours.
Green PET can be recycled, it just can’t be recycled into clear PET because it has green dye in it... and green streaks would clue the consumer into the fact that you’re using recycled materials which are somehow unclean.
Recycling is a business, it has very little to do with saving the world.
Koke be woke.
Seems more likely to me by far that they just don’t want people pointing at the litter\pollution of the bottles and saying its a sprite bottle. Now they can say, no, our bottles are clear.
Not only that, very little of what we throw in recycle bins is actually recycled.
It’s become cultural kabuki, for no real benefit.
Coke woke broke they already lost me to DP Zero
Green glass can be recycled quite easily,
I prefer my coke and sprite in glass bottles (and with real sugar too)
kwoke
If this works, can’t say I disagree because of all the plastic bottles floating about in the oceans and lakes. This is as green as I get.
I don’t buy Coca-Cola products.

Yep it just goes in a different hole in the dump.....where I am doesn’t even recycle glass anymore.
Why can’t they just make Sprite green?
Meh - this one’s not a big deal to me.
If they REALLY cared about the environment they’d go back to glass bottles.

There used to be a trash drop-off facility near my house in the woods. This was to prevent people from dropping the trash beside the road or in the woods off one of the many trails. The downside was you were supposed to put everything in different bins. Colored glass (or is it glass of color?) clear glass, clear plastic, etc. The attendant yelled at me for putting the wrong thing behind the door. It was one long metal structure with lots of labeled doors but zero dividers inside. I looked into the container, at the huge pile, pulled out a colored glass (or, glass of color) bottle and moved it down one door to land back in the same place. Ridiculous.
People shouldn’t drink that trash anyway.
OMG! That stuff is poison. Pepsi? Seriously?
We were sitting on a bench in NYC.
Three bins were on the corner, labeled glass, plastic, and trash.
The sanitation truck stopped and emptied all three into the truck.
You do realize virtually none of those in the ocean came from the US disposing of them, and changing the color of the bottle doesn’t help contain the trash any further than it already was (either recycled or in a landfill), correct?
All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi!
