“… And here is the news that appeared immediately after that:

- The United States did not transfer aircraft to Ukraine, but only helps with spare parts for existing aviation - Pentagon…”
*****************************************************************************

Now I know from whence come the Ukrainian aircraft that are being regularly shot down by the Russians on the southern and southwestern fronts.

Russia currently mainly shoots down (air defense) Su-25s.

Last month when the idea of NATO shipping aircraft to Ukraine came up and the Pentagon first made the point of only aircraft parts being provided pundits claimed the planes were being taken apart and shipped.

Later on one Telegram channel asserted that the Czech Republic had shipped 20 planes to Ukraine. Soon after that the lull in Russian shoot downs ended. And there are now frequent days when they take down two.

“Czech Air Force. After the dissolution of Czechoslovakia, the Czech Republic inherited twenty-four Su-25Ks and one Su-25UBK. In December 2000, the Czech Su-25s were retired from service.”
