Wonder why the dump truck driver thought that he could play “Beat the Train”?
Lack of sleep? Drugs? Pride? Or just plain stupidity.
Been hearing and saw video of this crossing...no gates not even flashing lights for a warning. The road just goes across the tracks.
You would think that would add to the truck driver being even more cautious when crossing unless he wasn’t familiar with it.
Sad though...to be sure.
Uncontrolled double track crossing at an angle to the line.
He may not have seen nor the heard the 80 mph train.
On VR Ashland camera, you can see some stupid things... Ashland has street running... And people back out into trains and some idiot double parked and his pick up was hit...
