Boomers are aging
I had a CB350 and a CB500 then later a Gold Wing 1000..........................Now have Yamaha 650 V-Star, Suzuki 800 Volusia, and a Harley Road Glide........................
Same here. The ‘Honda’ dealer had a Gold Wing that nobody was allowed to touch and the rest of the showroom was full of ATV’s and WaveRunner crap...................
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣..............................
So it’s killing the golden goose, or selling birthright for a bowl of soup.
Memories. I almost bought the 650 years ago. Took it for a ride, couldnt grasp the controls and somehow just didnt fit on what I was looking for. Maybe I’m just a narrow minded Yamaha guy ;)
“Best starter bike is the Aprilia 660 RS, “
You need to learn how to REALLY ride a bike before that!
The VARG has been in development for two years and boasts 80 horsepower compared to about 61 for the most powerful 450cc MX bikes.

CB750 1969
CB500 1971
Yes! I remember.
In high school when I was in (I think) the 9th grade one of the senior football players had a CB750. He tried to pass a truck on the highway but the truck was swinging wide to make a left turn. He hit the truck broadside and died on the scene. He was from a prominent local family.
I remember the whole school was in mourning. Some of the teachers were openly weeping the next day. It was really sad.
Compared to a typical 600 today that bike had far less power, and handled horribly too, in comparison. But back then it was a Superbike. Not a good choice for someone without skills, meaning both street skills and operating skills.
