Back when SCTV was a popular show in Canada (early 80's), the Canadian government said shows created and produced in the country had to have some form of Canadian content with Canadian actors.

So SCTV came up with Doug and Bob McKenzie where 2 of the show's Canadian performers made fun of the Canadian culture. Sooory. The government was not happy, eh?
