Funny, McCartney is much more cogent and a heck of a lot sharper than Dementia Joe, even with both of them around the same age.
For me personally, REVOLVER was the Beatles best, most innovative album in terms of range of musical styles, diverse sounds, and lyrical content.
It contained some of the most unforgettable songs like:
Eleanor Rigby
Here, There and Everywhere
For No One
and the satirical song which is still applicable to Democrats : TAXMAN
Saw Sir Paul and Linda many years ago. After sitting through a Vegan short PSA I thoroughly enjoyed the show. Happy Birthday, Dude.
Fool. Thanks for the info.
Beatles: The first Boy Band.
And there was a 1980s era joke where one teenage girl says to another teenage girl "Did you know that Paul McCartney was in another band before Wings?"
Yep, ‘Revolver’ was maybe the Beatles best album. The song ‘Paperback Writer’ was recorded during the ‘Revolver’ sessions but was released as a single. In those days songs released as singles before the album came out were typically not allowed on albums by a lot of the UK record companies. ‘Strawberry Fields’ and ‘Penny Lane’ were intended by The Beatles to be on ‘Sgt. Pepper’, but the record company released them as singles so they were left off the album.
Author of the worst Christmas song ever made.
#1..Listen to the intro on ‘Live & Let Die’. So nice.
It sounds like the essence of a warm Summer morning.
#2..I NEVER tire of hearing ‘Here, There & Everywhere’.
It works perfectly when performed accapela as here.
It’s like holding a large, warm piece of newly formed glass in the palm of your hand. An asymetrical, glimmering sphere mildly enhanced with swirls of cobalt blue and silver.
**I considered having this song as my cell phone’s Ring Tone.
Problem is, I would not want to answer the phone until the entire piece had been played to completion. By that time, others would most likely be annoyed with the sounds.
My favorite Paul song ever is Some days.
That was two days ago. That being said...Happy Birthday Sir Paul! Today is Brian Wilson’s birthday - he is also 80.
I saw him in concert a month ago. He put on an amazing show.

Just a month ago? Wow! Sir Paul was close to 80 then! How does he do it when Biden, who’s his age can’t even handle a press conference for half an hour even with cue cards?
Paul’s 80? That makes me...ugh!
