The FCC’s Enforcement Bureau demanded more than a dozen voice service providers that have apparently facilitated illegal robocall campaigns on their networks immediately cease-and-desist from those activities.
A dozen? Out of how many?
And what states were ones the FCC names from? Texas, Florida and North Carolina.

Fines aren't working. Legislation that makes spamming a criminal offense and puts spammers, both domestic and foreign, in prison would serve as a better deterrent IMHO.
But apparently you cannot have the same number assigned to 3 smart phones, so that a call will ring all three and all can immediately talk on it st the same time, which is what we want in a ministry. At least that is what Verizon told me. Meanwhile even if that can be done then 3 smart phones would cost more than what Comcast voice charges, though as a monopoly here, the $134.00 for 100 Mbps Internet and Voice is excessive. Plus I myself am not looking for more needless calls.

It goes in phases. Some weeks I will get 50 to 60 calls between 9 am and noon. I don’t ever answer my phone. As a LLC I am required to publicly list my number for the business thanks to our idiot overlords. I keep a burner phone for it, Don’t get me started about the spam texts.
I can also set the phone to not ring if it is an unidentified number. This has its drawbacks. If you are expecting a call and don't recognize the number, your phone won't ring and you can miss the call.

New York State. I live about 45 minutes from Syracuse, but was born and raised in Rochester. I paid for my car registration back on March 12th, and haven't gotten the replacement sticker yet. I've lived here for 23 years, so there is no issue with them not having the correct address. The temporary registration I printed out expires on June 10th. You can't talk to a live person, unless you leave your name and number for a call back. The filter on my cell phone might or might not block their call, so I chose to send them emails. I've written them twice. They wrote back telling me to contact them two weeks prior to the temp. reg. expiring. I did, and haven't heard anything back. Last Thursday, I called my State Senator Joe Griffo (Republican). An aide I spoke to said he had a contact at the DMV, and would call them. I haven't heard back from him yet, so I printed my original payment receipt, plus the emails I've written to them, plus the one reply I got from DMV, just in case I'm stopped by cops prior to getting my new sticker. I'm leasing the car, and the lease is up in September. At least then, it will be the dealer who will have to get the new registration for the new car I'll be leasing.
Thanks for that info. I didn't think it was necessary. I wouldn't use my cell phone for that anyway. Besides, my cell phone works off my wireless internet when I'm at home, and Spectrum is my internet provider. I would never accept tele-med calls on my MacBook Air. Hell, I don't even use Face Time or any other program that requires you to use your camera. If they can't see me in the office once a year, that's not my problem. I don't get any scripts from them anyway, so it's no big deal if I don't see them at all. My family/Endocrinologist orders a urine sample every six months with my fasting blood work anyway.
They get into some pretty sketchy situations; one guy out and out threatened to shoot their camera guy if he kept filming.
DEFINITELY a “DO NOT try this at home!” line of work.
I had a political questionnaire call at 1:45 am last month on my landline. I had to wonder if the dem party was doing it on purpose pretending to be the republican party to get people mad at them. Probably just a screw up but now I understand why my parents would turn the phone off at night.
