This is the audacious moment a Russian tank is obliterated just outside Mariupol, with its turret shooting up hundreds of feet into the air.
Amazing video shot by Chinese state TV channel Phoenix shows the sudden blast in eastern Ukraine, which saw the Russian tank wiped out instantaneously.

Wow! Vlad REALLY looks like death warmed over. There must be something very wrong with him bc he looks like a different person. Hopefully he meets Lucifer soon.
COOL!
... wondering what video game this clip came from.
I guess Ivan hasn’t figured out that completely surrounding the crew with ammunition isn’t a good thing.
I am starting to feel a little sorry for the pore Russian soldiers, who I am pretty sure don’t even want to be there fighting Putins stupid vanity war.
Some Low IQ going on. Real Low.
It’s a design defect in all Russian tanks.
They have an auto loader that is very fast but the ammo is exposed and up in the turret.
BOOM!
Based on headlines of every article on how war is going it forms an image that there are maybe only 12 Rusdians left alive in the world in fear for their life from relentless Ukranian aggression. Did the Russians even get a single shot off?
Looks balder in 2006 than in 2022.
Done blowed up real good!
Yes, all the tanks based on the base Soviet design do.
Really only the American M1 and especially the Israeli Mercava mark IV and V solve for this, followed to a lesser degree the Challenger and other NATO tanks fix this.
Due to experience in our rough neighborhood with modern weapons, the Mercava is specifically designed with a Trophy anti missile defense integrated to deal with infantry weapons along with individually protected shells to prevent secondary explosions.
I believe we shared this tech with the USA and it’s being put into your tanks.
The source is a report from a Chinese TV reported embedded with the Russians.
Russian control of any area is limited, and they do not have air superiority sufficient to protect their tanks and ground troops from aerial attack as the tank crew in the video found out.
The auto-loader in the T-72 is relatively fast for the type, but a human loader slamming a one piece fixed cartridge into a semi-auto sliding main gun breech block is noticeably faster then the T-72 mechanical autoloader. The 125mm round used by the T-72 main gun utilizes a two part projectile, because the warhead and the propellant charge must be loaded into the breech in two separate stages due to the length of a fixed cartridge and the space limitations in the cramped T-72 turret.
So a well trained and strong human loader is quicker for that all important first or second engagement winning shot that usually determines who will be the victor in a tank vs tank shoot out.(At least until he gets tired.)
