QAnon Joins Vigilantes at the Southern Border

Far-right activists are intercepting migrant children and collecting information about their families, based on an unfounded conspiracy theory that they are falling prey to sex-trafficking rings.

SASABE, Ariz. — The 15 migrant children, weary and hungry, stumbled toward a gap in the rust-colored border wall that soars between Mexico and Arizona, nearing the end of their two-week trek north. Unexpectedly, a man in a cap emblazoned with a blackened American flag — traditionally, a message that “no quarter” will be given to the enemy — approached them and coaxed them to his campsite.

Soon, the girls and boys, who were from Guatemala, were sitting under a blue tent devouring hamburgers and sausages. Their host for the day in this remote part of the Arizona desert, Jason Frank, an enthusiastic follower of the QAnon movement, distributed “Let’s Go Brandon” T-shirts featuring an image of President Biden. Giggling and confused, the children changed into the shirts and posed for a group photo. Later, they formed a prayer circle with Mr. Frank and the rest of his team before the Border Patrol showed up.

Mr. Frank and his group, guns holstered on their hips, have been camping out near Sasabe, Ariz., as a self-appointed border force with the stated aim of protecting the thousands of migrant children who have been arriving from the evils of sex trafficking — a favorite QAnon theme.

They are the latest in what over the years has developed into a cottage industry of dozens of armed civilians who have packed camouflage gear, tents and binoculars and deployed along the southern border. Mr. Frank, a QAnon influencer whose Facebook page in recent months has shown him pictured with such conservative celebrities as Donald J. Trump Jr., Michael Flynn and Sidney Powell, has fashioned his team into a new style

Hey nyt why don’t you do,your job for once and find out if the kids are being sold into the trade? Instead of saying it’s “unfounded” simp,y because the right wing is doing the investigsting, how about investigating to find out if it is true or investigating,. The nyt knows darn well what’s going on, but are turning a blind eye to it because it woild mean closed borders to prevent it if it were proven to be true.

The right need to do a special on it. Expose it wide open. Then let’s see the left defend keeping the borders, open any longer knowing full well that it means kids are exploited and abused. The scums Will have to expose their vile deviant agenda if they keep defending open borders then.

“….a man in a cap emblazoned with a blackened American flag — traditionally, a message that “no quarter” will be given to the enemy“

I am 62 years old. I have never heard this before. No saying it’s not true…just that it might be Q lore, and not generally known. Does anyone know if this is “a thing?” Or is it from a video game?

We should all be doing a community service by turning the kids around and back across the border. Let the Mexicans get them back home. If their parents are already in the US, let them claim the kids and send them all packing (else risk charges for child abuse and neglect, etc.). Let’s get serious about this.

Unfounded Conspiracy Theory

Got that?

One label and it becomes “misinformation” that Nina Nutcase at DHS can use to send out the Goon Squad.

I am trying to visualize a mentally competent, armed, adult, American male "coaxing" illegal immigrant children into a tent on the southern border wilderness.

Sounds like a very successful strategy to spend the rest of your life in prison.

...based on an unfounded conspiracy theory that they are falling prey to sex-trafficking rings.

The New York Times needs to review its past stories before pandering to current fear mongering a little better. On March 3, 2019 the Times ran ‘You Have to Pay With Your Body’: The Hidden Nightmare of Sexual Violence on the Border. Sexual abuse of illegal immigrants as they move around is common knowledge. Like everything else the Times publishes, it only matters how and when it is convenient.

It supposedly looks like this:

Apparently, a “no quarter” flag was originally a pirate thing, but the pirate “no quarter” flag was red, not black:

https://ecupirates.com/sports/2016/7/5/jolly-roger-no-quarter-other-ecu-traditions.aspx?id=36

https://jeanlafittetradingcompany.com/products/jean-lafitte-no-quarter-pirate-flag

Liberal sites and articles claim it goes back to the Civil War, but they have their history wrong:

https://www.wusa9.com/article/news/verify/what-do-all-black-american-flags-mean/65-042fc092-d29d-4ec5-9ed1-2b0a08cc6f53

Lots of pearl clutching and claiming it’s racist (and so badly written it barely makes any sense at all):

https://www.miamitimesonline.com/opinion/the-no-quarter-flag-and-its-threat-to-america/article_0e7221c0-46eb-11ec-8195-e7b68bed1e86.html

Civil War buffs discuss here:

https://civilwartalk.com/threads/raising-the-black-flag.9398/

If they are correct, Santa Ana’s “no quarter” flag at the Alamo was, in proper pirate tradition, red not black.

It sounds like some Q followers are all confused and using the flag to mean “no quarter” against liberals, apparently unaware it’s based on the Jasper Johns (gay abstract expressionist) B&W screen print of his famous flag painting. Oh well, since when did the Q crowd get anything right?

" . . . based on an unfounded conspiracy theory that they are falling prey to sex-trafficking rings."

The existence of sex-trafficking is an "unfounded conspiracy theory"? Since when? I just looked up a report on human trafficking in the US from a couple of years ago. Just among cases that were identified and prosecuted, there were about 10,800 nationwide, concentrated in border states like Florida, Texas, and California. 80-85% of these cases involved sex-trafficking, and most of these victims were women. That does not sound like an "unfounded conspiracy theory."

If you add in cases that were never identified or prosecuted, the figure would probably rise to over 150,000 sex-trafficking cases over ten years, and that's probably a conservative estimate.
