I’m guessing a custody battle was in progress. My sister in law shot and killed my brother because she was afraid of losing custody of their 5 year old. Ironic, of course, because she is in prison for life and hasn’t seen the child in 19 years. At least she didn’t kill the child.

No killing is more repugnant than a mother taking the life of her own child(ren) - that includes purposeful abortion. I think it was Scalia who warned society about the coarsening of society to life caused by abortion. It’s a slippery slope from killing a child in the womb to killing a viable infant child by the mother.
