Canada will be handing over the M777 howitzers and ammunition to Ukraine, including the newest Excalibur extended-range GPS-guided shells.Militarnyi informs about this with reference to CBS.
The media obtained confirmations from three sources saying that four of the 155-mm howitzers were sent to Ukraine. For reference, Canada has 37 of these howitzers. Ukraine will be receiving these weapons from the 1st Regiment of the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery inventory.
Anita Anand, Defence Minister noted that “a number of M-777 howitzers were shipped to Ukraine in cooperation with our American allies.”
The shipment included an unspecified amount of 155-mm ammunition.
Among other items, Ukraine will be receiving a number of precision-guided Excalibur rounds left over from the Afghan war. The M982 Excalibur is a 155-mm extended range guided artillery shell. The Excalibur was developed and manufactured by Raytheon Missiles & Defense and BAE Systems AB.
Excalibur is guided through the GPS and can hit targets up to 60 km away. And in December 2020, during the tests, the US Army successfully hit the target at a distance of 70 km. The weight is 44 kg, and the weight of the warhead is 22 kg…..

Armegeddon
“And they gathered together to a place called Armageddon”
The hoser. Justine Truedolt was hoping he could use those howitzers on his own people. But since the truckers have retreated, he can now send the shells to kill Russians instead of Canadiens. /spit
Let’s see Ukraine use these to hit inside Russia using US intel.
How much of this high tech precision stuff is being held aside for reverse engineering?
Good. Give the Russian artillery bombing Ukrainian cities a taste of their own medicine.

Is this a bad time to mention that Russia is jamming GPS signals in Ukraine?
It can hit within a four meters out to probably 22 miles from an M777.
It uses GPS and inertial guidance.
My team supported the Excaliber testing program for almost two decades.
The Excaliber is resistant to GPS jamming.
It allows for an extended field-test of Excalibur against a real opponent.
How about the Ukrainian goobermint bombing the Donbas region for 8 straight years killing over 15,000 people ? Didin’t feature on Fox news ?????
To be accurate, how about PUTIN starting a war in Donbas region for 8 straight years?
"It allows for an extended field-test of Excalibur against a real opponent."
Yeah, it sure does. Who better than Ukraine to do the testing.
They seem to have a knack for getting artillery on target.
Funny about that, but the Russians in Donbas were shooting back, weren't they? Otherwise it would have been a cakewalk for the Ukrainians.
The separatists in Donbas were always supported with Russian equipment, armaments (and Russian troops).
It isn't as it the Ukrainians just decided to kill some of their own citizens for no reason.
Did Putin make Kiev and Poroshenko renege on the Minsk agreements they signed in 2014 that gave autonomy to the Russian-speaking Ukrainians living there?
Did Putin send Azov fighters into the area to terrorize and kill over 14,000 Ukrainians, mostly civilians, including over 250 children?
If you have credible evidence that Putin sent Russian troops into the Donbass to fight against the Kiev-backed neo-Nazi militias for the past 8 years, then please post it. So far, however, no legitimate organization has been able to prove it.
Russia took advantage of them to launch a coordinated political and military campaign against Ukraine.[33] Russian citizens led the separatist movement in Donetsk from April until August 2014, and were supported by volunteers and materiel from Russia.[34][35][36] As the conflict escalated in May 2014, Russia employed a "hybrid approach", deploying a combination of disinformation, irregular fighters, regular Russian troops, and conventional military support to destabilize the Donbas

You best pray that does not happen. Right now we have a proxy war. A full blown one when the US is in a mess internally would be a disaster.
