They are very avoidant about it in the article, but I’m reading it as if it were their dogs that attacked their own kid. They danced around that didn't they?
I assume they thought it would be cool to have pit bulls, until they started eating the kid.

Pit bulls are always described as “never have been aggressive”......until they are.
Question: were these male dogs who hadn’t been neutered? There’s A LOT of pit bull owners who have male dogs which they won’t neuter. That’s just asking for trouble IMHO.

Based on my experience...In most cases I agree.
I was raised with very intelligent German Shepherds, but I don’t trust Pit Bulls one bit.

"Why was Chet99 ever banned?" IIRC it had nothing to do with pit bulls, but rather some ill-considered remarks regarding Sarah Palin.

My nephew and his wife had two of these (male and female) and they were “so gentle” according to them. Now they had a 2 year old and I told my wife, that I prayed I would never hear of the child being killed by these “dogs of peace”.
Next year, the wife left him and he moved in with his daughter to his Mom’s house and brought the dogs. Within days, they attacked and damn near killed her elderly beagle and it had to be put down.
Finally he got smart and got rid of them.

For most of my 88 years, we've had Shepherds, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, and Shepherd-Retriever cross breeds...
