Pontius Pilate. Up to a point he was just another Roman Governor, just doing his job, being a hard-ass at times, and sometimes not.

According to the Ethiopian Orthodox and Coptic Churches, Pilate was so burdened with guilt that he converted to Christianity and is regarded as a Saint (as is his wife St. Claudia).

In the Baptist church, as you know, Pilate was last seen by mortal man wandering in the desert washing his hands in the sand. Thanks for the interesting item.
