Well, there’s some precedent for revoking Oscars. It happened once before with a documentary called “Young Americans” which won in 1969 but was later was determined to be ineligible having been released in theaters before the qualifying period. Obviously, it might be hard to get the statuette back from him, but should could cancel his award like they did for “Young Americans” and declare his runner-up to have won the category.
