I've pretty much retired the road bike. Currently use a hybrid and a 29er mountain bike, mostly for commuting and errands. I ride the Poudre Trail a lot.

Recumbents are cool, but I don't trust drivers to see one.

No disrespect was intended FRiend. I’ve just always hated those diamond-frame racing bikes. And a recumbent “bent” should be allowed in the TDF. Or have one just for bents. The reason they won’t is because the bents would make jokes out of those diamond-frames.

You’re right about drivers seeing a “bent” though. My seat is only 15” above the ground. I rode next to a car once and my head was the same height as the driver’s..

Speed and comfort is way better on a bent but it’s a slightly heavier bike. But wind resistance is about half. Such a different experience.
