Frank Sinatra (Joe Piscopo) and Stevie Wonder (Eddie Murphy) sing a version of "Ebony and Ivory" that young people will enjoy. [Season 7, 1982]
I'm surprised that this scene hasn't been thrown down the memory hole, ala George Orwell, by SNL.
But really because they don't want black people and white people to get along?
No Choppin’ broccoli would be too controversial.
Great song.
They should have released it as a single.
A classic!
But I must say, the late Phil Hartmann was the better Sinatra, on The Sinatra Group.
It’s been years since I’ve seen that but I remember that song often.
You are black, I am white, you’re blind as a bat and I’ve got sight. Some of my all-time favorite lyrics
Back when SNL was funny.
“But I must say, the late Phil Hartmann was the better Sinatra, on The Sinatra Group”
My all-time favorite SNL member. Granted I haven’t watched the show in the last 15+ years. Sinatra Group...Caveman...Frankenstein (fire bad!)
The Hartman-Farley group was really good.
Phil played a killer Bill Clinton.
