Passenger planes have autopilot that is fully capable of taking off and landing the planes but the FAA nonetheless requires a pilot/co-pilot perform the take off and landing functions with the auto-pilot disengaged. Why? Perhaps a fear that the computer will have a hiccup.

Why is this board so cavalier about no need for brakes and a steering wheel in automobiles? Personally, I like the idea that a living, breathing human who knows they are vulnerable is in charge, not a computer.

Effin’ computers are always having hiccups and are constantly being updated. Will they have a cursor? grrr

Gee, it just went black. Oh, never mind. The cursor was in the corner.
