Looks like Welsh...almost.

Maybe there's a bug in the system. Could it be an issue with the Fox News video itself, and not YouTube? I just checked some of the YouTube video subscriptions I have, and the CC is fine on those.

I’m hearing impaired (well on my way to being deaf),so I have CC on the tv 24/7.
Fox News and some other channels on our local cable system have a similar problem from time to time. It’s not total gibberish, but someone will be speaking and I’m following along, and all of a sudden, the CC will stop mid-sentence.
The person or persons talking will keep on talking for like maybe 15 seconds or so, and THEN the CC will start up again. Sometimes it will go real fast to catch up, sometimes it won’t. I can only guess as to what was said.
Maybe what you’re seeing is hacking, I’ve never seen it on YouTube before, but it could be.
CC can be frustrating at times, and entertaining in its own at other times.

One time I was watching a fishing program on the Sportsman’s Channel and the Closed Captioning dialogue was from a show about bear hunting…..
I emailed them and let them know about it, and that I thought it was hilarious.
Weeks later I received a reply apologizing, they had checked into it and found it to be true.
