That’s interesting. Is the financial district built on top of fill, by any chance?

That is a lot of caulk.
If the podium was the same height as the tower, the gap would be greater.
It would be interesting to place a marble on the floor at the top.
I thought they had already beefed up the foundation. Wonder where it would be if they hadn’t done that.

Somebody is going to get sued over this.
There will be ongoing and steadily increasing expenses just to keep this building within regulations of safety.
Especially now, that everyone in the Bay Area knows about it.
Builder reputations will be a-burnin’.
