If the Dems (and any other pols, both here and in any country in the world) actually had the best interests of their people in mind, they would have:

1) Allowed and encouraged off-the-shelf treatments for Covid, even if they weren’t full cures;

2) Would never have locked down the healthy people, just those with confirmed cases and POSSIBLY symptoms; those with great vulnerability - the elderly, diabetics, very overweight people, those with significant pulmonary issues, etc. - maybe the should have been encouraged to isolate themselves and try to make their isolation and lack of work (if they’re of working age) less inconvenient and costly;

3) Might have down an initial lockdown for 2-3 weeks (as originally promised) to avoid a disaster with overloading hospitals, but got rid of it once the immediate crisis was over;

4) No rushing to approve experimental medications on an emergency basis, as that’s a recipe for many, many bad effects; and

5) No mandates whatsoever.

At this point, nearly 2 years into this “crisis” (which looks increasingly like it was created on purpose, specifically to make money for some large campaign donors and to enhance the power of various governments over their people) and only 8 1/2 months before a major election in the US (and Biden’s party polling about like Nixon at the end of his Presidency), no one with half a brain is going to buy that removing lockdowns is suddenly called for by “the science.” That is, on its face, a purely political move. Everyone except for Biden’s fellow dementia victims and the (maybe) 50 million actual fools that legitimately voted for him will believe that garbage. This has been incredibly political from Day One, and nothing has changed to date about that.

I have said more concisely. Quarantine the sick, protect the vulnerable, and everyone else go on about their business.
