I am thinking of switching to T-Mobile internet once I check it out sooner.

My Cox internet costs me an even $100. T-Mobile offers me the same for $50.

No cable
We bought ROKU TV’s and get the free streaming services.
You can get any sports you want via the various leagues. No politics - unless you don’t mind them

There are LITERALLY (No fake as in ACTUALLY) dozens of free streaming channels, plus the free (non subscription YOUTube/Rumble guys.

There is no need for any monthly charge.

We have a ROKU tv, as well as a TV antenna that gives us extra channels and live tv. We also have Amazon prime. We have Verizon cell service, which gives us free Disney+, ESPN, and HULU. HULU gives us the History Channel. We also just a a super cheap deal on Paramount +. You can also stream with pluto tv. Kodi, if you want to research that.

Never had cable, watch little television. That said, web browser on ipad plugged into hdmi (apple sells adapter/ walmart)

Browser opened to ustv247.tv, just about any channel. Free, plus whatever your WiFi internet costs.

Watch The Amazing Race, CBS , on some channel 4 from Miami. We are in Colorado, recently from Florida, so enjoy the commercials. Publix

“You will not miss cable at all. I guarantee it.”

That’s true. There’s so much available streaming free on Roku. We did subscribe to Fubo which isn’t free, but it’s about 1/4 of what we paid for DirecTV.

With our T-Mobile cellular we get free Netflix. We had cancelled it a few years ago when Netflix hooked up with the Obama critters.

This week I started to watch a movie on Netflix, but turned it off when a character in a newsroom announced he was tired of reporting on Melania (as if the media EVER reported on Melania!) Then another person piped up and sadly said, “I miss the Obamas.” Barf!

I went to Netflix chat and complained. Now I expect I’m on a list somewhere.

I cut the cable in 2001 because of the annoying Comcast cable service and customer service at my place of residence at that time. I was gone all day and didn’t watch much television when I got home, and was paying about $50.00 a month for something I didn’t use very often. At the last service disruption (for over two weeks) and Comcast taking forever to get my service back, including making an appointment to come inside and then not showing up after I took time off work to wait on them, I pulled the plug and have never gotten cable again. I have Internet only service via AT&T.

“Amazon Prime video is something I discovered AFTER I became a prime member.”

Ditto. We went Prime for the faster shipping and then realized they had good streaming content.

Comcast is all I can get here in the way of internet. I use it for internet, and subscribe to Amazon, share (Paramount + with family, Netflix, SHO, HBO and Disney). Don’t tell them, but it is possible to have a lot of possible content, for a little money. I pay only for Paramount, Amazon and Discovery. Other family shares the other 4 with me and each other. I am soon to drop the Paramount, as another daughter has it so I share two with the group, others share the premium stuff. I even figured out how to get CBS and Fox OTA, in case I get the hankering for NFL games. I HATE that I love the game, but at least they don’t get my viewership clicks.

I cut the cord in December, 2020. I have a Roku TV and pay for Philo and Sling much less than cable and have a lot more channels.

What are other Freepers doing to cut the cord?

Nothing, just enjoying the useless virtue signaling..........

Especially from those who claim to have dumped TV years ago...LOL!

My setup is Roku

I have Amazon Prime. It is half free half pay to view. I average $2.99 per new movie . It’s usually Saturday or Sunday I splurge for a movie or two.
Overall I’m happy doing this and only pay for what I want to watch.

I then supplement with Sling Tv. Sling is about $10 a month and has all the channels that make cable , cable tv … I.e. tnt, courtv, a and e ,disc , so it makes it all feel like real cable.

I do not need Netflix or anything else and can watch just about everything.

I do want to watch Yellowstone 1883 however I am not going to subscribe to paramount plus yet . I will maybe let the season end, get a week trial , binge watch , then cancel the trial.

About 10 years ago, I invested about a thousand bucks on what they a call FTA (Free To Air) Satellite system (C band and Ku Band. I can get literally thousands of channels, TV and Radio, no charge. Things change often and the learning curve is a bit steep, but other than initial investment, I don’t pay anyone for the privilege of receiving programming.

Mostly I watch about 20 channels featuring ‘oldies’ programming , tv series and movies, Some documentaries, and news feeds... (I can receive several channels of what I call ‘Raw News feeds’... The broadcast of reporters and camera crews in the field; before the propagandists in the studios can edit it to their own agenda.

I had spectrum tv, internet and phone (need phone for my business). Got a letter that my TV was going up to 138 a month plus 18 a month for some broadcast tv fee. So 156 a month for just the TV. Dropped the TV and kept the internet and phone for 69 a month. Got YouTube tv, have prime already and get some other free stuff. Miss nothing. In fact ended up with more channels I watch like MLB tv, and the gold channel. So my monthly bill went from 250 a month to 129. YouTube tv has the locals that I watch for weather and local sports.

I have Sling TV for $30/mth, it depends on what you like to watch. You can add stuff on Sling too.

Still have two on cable, but two not. Plenty of over-the-air options in Dallas. Or plug in a laptop to stream free stuff.
